Steps away from Jacksonville’s historic district, the Jacksonville Community Center provides a host of amenities to make your event very memorable. Whether you’re planning a wedding celebration, a party or a business meeting, you’ll find attractive, affordable event space that includes seating, tables, a dance floor, a piano and a state-of-the-art AV system. In addition, a catering kitchen makes food and beverage service a caterer’s dream. Warm and inviting, the Center is a unique location designed to make your special events come to life!

The cottage can be used for small meetings, parties and classes or in conjunction with the Great Room as a break-out room, space for a buffet table, additional table seating or play space for younger children. There is an electronic keyboard that can be set up in the cottage. The cottage can also be equipped with a projector to rent.

Cottage

Built in the 1940’s, the cottage is a charming, self-contained 730 square feet area attached to the Great Room, with its own bathroom, small kitchen and comfortable, extra seating. The room holds up to 28 people and has space for (2) 5’ round tables or (2) 8’ rectangular tables. Tables, chairs and an AV screen are included.

The Great Room

This attractive 1200 square feet area has 14’ vaulted ceilings, wall to wall carpet and lots of natural light. The space can be fitted to use up to (12) 5’ round tables or (8) 8’ rectangular tables with seating for a maximum of 90 guests; 102 guests theater style. If needed, the room can be divided to accommodate up to 40 guests.
There are two AV screens, a sound and projection system, a piano, and dance floor which provide all the elements for a great party, business meeting or conference.

There are two ADA compliant restrooms off the Great Room.

Kitchen

Adjacent to the Great Room is a large, 360 square feet catering kitchen equipped with commercial grade appliances and stainless worktables, shelves and pass-through window to expedite setup and service. The kitchen is designed to meet a wide range of catering needs and is also very efficient for groups supplying their own food and beverages.

Grounds and Setting

For wedding celebrations or parties, a dance floor and a piano are included to inspire some great dance moves.
