Community Works: Strengthening Lives of Those impacted by Violence with Barbara Johnson

Join JCC’s FREE Community-in-Action Forum as we invite local experts to share wisdom in areas of community concern to learn about causes, solutions and how we can make our community stronger. This forum will provide opportunities for attendees to ask questions and explore challenging topics.

Barbara Johnson, Executive Director, of Community Works, will share heartfelt stories and powerful insights into the human side of those individuals and families impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and labor and sex trafficking. Discover how compassionate, client-centered programs, are helping those individuals restore their dignity and find hope – one step at a time -while inspiring a stronger, more caring community for all. Walk-ins welcome!

Presenter Bio: Barbara Johnson has been with Community Works for 20 years. In 2013, she joined the organization as Victim Services Director and in 2015, she was named Executive Director of the agency, where she oversaw the agency’s reorganization and restructure, while continuing to develop a strong team that is providing vital professional services for the greater good of the community.
