Join us in a guided hike through the Jacksonville Woodlands. This event is for the whole family! We will meet at the Britt Trails parking lot and enjoy a fun and educational walk through this very special park located right by downtown Jacksonville. Tara Laidlaw from the Southern Oregon Land Conservancy will lead us through the trails, sharing her knowledge and passion for the beauty and biodiversity here in Southern Oregon. We will play observation games and activities, connect with other local families, and enjoy a morning stroll in nature. Make sure to bring a water bottle, and come hit the trails with us!
Tara collaborates with schools and organizations to support both classroom and lifelong learning, helping locals connect and engage with the beauty and biodiversity found at SOLC’s properties. She brings to the organization a decade’s worth of experience as an education program facilitator, instructional designer, and teacher and volunteer trainer. Tara completed her undergraduate studies at Stanford University and got her master’s degree in Natural Science and Environmental Ed from Hamline University.
