6/13 Owls & Owl Pellets Program for Adults & Kids – by Bugs-R-Us

Bugs-R-Us naturalist educators John  & Will Jackson will share how owls fit in the environment and the part they play in the food-web cycle. Adults and kids aged 6+ with parent will get “hands-on” learning with real owl pellets…You will get to play DETECTIVE with latex gloves, tweezers and magnifying glasses to find out what the owls have eaten.  The program includes HANDS-ON time with a taxidermy barn-owl and special training on owl calls.  Class members get to KEEP what ever or WHOMEVER they find inside the pellets. Adults accompanying youth are free. AGES 6+ (must be accompanied by an adult).

Instructor Bios: John and his son, Will, are life-long Entomologists and Naturalists. John started 50+ years ago and has never lost his love of bugs. John has put his degrees in Communication and Biology to work in creating BUGS-R-US Educational Services. BUGS-R-US offers a total of 30 different Science-based Educational PORTABLE presentations.
