Bill Scholer’s guitar and vocals bring a depth to this soulful sound, backed up with precision and flare by Eric Miller’s rhythmic bass. Pre-registration for your free ticket is recommended.
Performer Bios: California blues musician Bill Scholer is bringing his thoughtful and heartfelt brand of the blues to Oregon. A member of the Sacramento Blues Hall Of Fame, Scholer now lives in Talent, Oregon having lived in Japan for the past eight years. Scholer has performed with Barry “The Fish” Melton (Country Joe and the Fish), The Rural Sophisticates (replacing famed cartoonist R. Crumb) and Mark St. Mary’s Blues Zydeco Band. Scholer has opened for shows by B.B. King, John Lee Hooker, Willie Dixon, James Cotton, J.J. Cale, Leon Redbone, The Ventures, Elvin Bishop, Paul Butterfield & Rick Danko (The Band), Charlie Musselwhite, and others and is an honoree of the Sacramento Musicians Hall of Fame.
Eric Miller brings his style of Blues bass-playing from his New York roots. He recently relocated to Southern Oregon. Eric originally hails from New York arriving in Medford two years ago having lived in New Mexico, Colorado, and California. He is currently Bill Scholer’s music collaborator bringing a fine-tuned musicality and a wealth
of experience to the duo. He has performed in a variety of styles (jazz, blues, country, bluegrass and rock) and appeared on stage accompanying John Mayall, Peter Rowan and Christine Albert.
Cathy Dorris is a percussionist who can be seen in several local bands.
