But have you ever stopped to wonder why we laugh, or how a joke from the 1800s stacks up against the humor of today? Whether you are a lifelong comedy fan who has watched the entertainment landscape transform over the decades, or simply a curious history lover who wants to understand the roots of wit, this engaging afternoon is for you! Join educator and humorist Robin Engel at the Jacksonville Community Center for a fun, fascinating journey through time. Before retiring to Oregon from Arizona, Robin performed stand-up comedy and has dedicated a lifetime to exploring the history and mechanics of laughter.
