11/9 Advanced Care Planning

November 9, 2023 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Free

An Advance Directive establishes a legally binding outline of your healthcare wishes. Come learn what documents are included in an Advance Directive and how it can protect you in the event of a health emergency. Advance Directives ensure your healthcare choices even if you’re unable to participate in the conversation.
Jeannine Greenwell is Jackson County’s Older Adult Behavioral Health Specialist with Jackson County Health and Human Services and the Oregon Health Authority. Her job is to bring resources, education and training to the older adult community. Jennine has a master’s degree in Human Services and is currently a resident of Jacksonville. She is hosting this presentation by Debra Johnson, MA, Gerontologist, who brings extensive experience in end-of-life planning from her career as a geriatric care manager and her current role with End of Life Choices Oregon.

Thanks to a sponsorship by Jackson County’s Older Adult Behavioral Health Initiative, this program and series is being offered at no cost to participants.
