Jacksonville Community Center (JCC) – PT Data, Development and Communications Coordinator
The DDC Coordinator is part of a team that serves a large community. Interest in building community is essential in our next teammate. The DDC Coordinator is responsible for assisting with participant and donor data collection; assisting with fundraising communications and ongoing communications including newsletters, social media, and print media. The DDC Coordinator performs independently with limited supervision.
The DDC coordinator manages and maintains databases and fundraising records, analyzes data to generate reports for funders, and provides administrative and communications support to the Executive Director. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with data management software and Microsoft Office. The role also involves assisting with fundraising events, donor and participant communications, and other related administrative tasks.
Key responsibilities
• Database management: Access and maintain the organization's donor database and class-registration records.
• Data analysis for programs and donors - and reports: Collect fundraising data, create reports, and provide summaries to inform actions of the Board and Executive Director.
• Communication tasks: Provide general administrative support to the Executive Director in various communication and marketing activities – including content creation and uploading to JCC’s social media, website, and print materials.
• Fundraising support: Assist with the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns, communications, and events.
• Donor relations: Process gifts and acknowledgments of donors, sponsors, and partners.
This position is offered at 15-16/week (paid hourly) and is non-exempt. It requires occasional/rare evenings and weekends. There is an option for partial remote work. The schedule is based on program needs that vary. Weekly schedule flexibility within normal business hours is available. Skill development opportunities in communications, marketing and fundraising will be offered. Rate of Pay: $21.50-23.00/hour DOE.
The position is grant funded at this level for 2026. The position hours for 2027 will be allocated based on future successful grant awards.
Details of the position, under the direction and support of the Executive Director, include but are not limited to:
PROGRAM and DONOR DATA MANAGEMENT & ENGAGEMENT :
• Maintain up-to-date data entry using Salesforce, CRM programs, WordPress, and fundraising software
• Assist Executive Director in conducting engagement communications with donors using database information
• Update donor information regularly
• Coordinate fundraising mailings, follow-up thank you letters and other donor communications using database effectively
• Collect data from online forms and programs - in coordination with website portals and other IT programs - to analyze progress and create reports for funders, donors and board members
COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATION:
• Help create written and visual content for written communications channels including flyers, ads, brochures, community information boards, social media, e-news, and email distribution of event and program information
• Help develop website content and uploads for programs to website
• Help develop graphic art for successful communication campaigns, program marketing, and fundraising
• Capture photos and video at events and programs; maintain digital archives

OPERATIONS & ADMINISTRATION DUTIES:
• Handle customer service-related issues
• Organize and complete reports on attendance, donor giving and donor engagement
• Support and participate in JCC events and programs
• Ensure that safety standards and precautions are followed in recreation and facility management activities
• Move and handle items exceeding 30 pounds on a regular basis including moving tables and chairs regularly
• Other duties as assigned
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
• Technical proficiency: Experience with donor databases (CRMs) and Microsoft Office Suite is vital. Salesforce experience a plus.
• Organizational skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and maintain organized files.
• Analytical skills: The ability to analyze data, generate reports, and make logical judgments is key.
• Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for interacting with donors, center participants, and fellow staff.
• Social Media/Graphic Design: Basic proficiency in creating small graphics for online posting and print marketing materials OR willingness to learn.
• Attention to detail: Meticulousness is required for data entry, record-keeping, and report accuracy.
• Education: An AA degree in a related field is preferred, though equivalent experience will also be acceptable.
• Soft skills: Adaptability, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team are highly valued.
