Halau Hula Ka Pi’o O Ke Anuenue, a Hawaiian Cultural Dance School based in Ashland, will offer a 30 minute hula performance, followed by a 25 minute class where participants (adults and children aged 7 and up) will learn basic hula steps and hand motions, and a simple hula to a Hawaiian song.
Program is free for adults and children aged 7 and up.
Halau Hula Ka Pi’o O Ke Anuenue is a Hawaiian Cultural Dance School based in Ashland, Oregon with roots on Hawaii Island. Under the guidance and direction of Kumu Hula Andrea Luchese, our mission is to perpetuate the spirit and tradition of hula through classes, workshops, and other educational programs for all ages and levels, as well as through performance events for our community. Our intention is to inspire, empower, and elevate through sharing the sacredness of Hawaiian hula and chant. The class is offered free through a grant of the Coquille Tribal Community Fund.
