Nick Garrett-Powell will mesmerize audiences with his array of musical skills, styles and techniques bringing expert guitar-playing and stellar vocals to well-known tunes from the mid-century to today. Using the loop, Nick performs as a contemporary one-man-band that will knock your socks off!
Bio: Nick Garrett-Powell is a singer songwriter and one-man-band from Southern Oregon.
An acclaimed multi-instrumentalist and “stunt guitarist,” Nick’s solo show includes tenor vocals, mandolin, melodica, jaw harp, and a heaping serving of acoustic guitar.
A classically trained musician, Nick’s repertoire includes pop, blues, gypsy jazz, rock, reggae, jazz standards, acoustic fingerstyle, tapping and slapping, and more. Nick uses “looping” – recording songs in layers live before the audience with rhythm, bass, leads, and percussion all played on his guitar.
