The Central Point Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to fostering
community engagement and supporting the growth of local businesses
through a variety of events and by serving as a vital resource for
information. We host monthly Greeters and Quarterly Mixers, publish an
annual calendar, and maintain an extensive online calendar for area
events. Additionally, we distribute a bi-monthly newsletter and have a
strong presence on social media. Our Chamber also manages the Central
Point Visitor’s Center and plays a key supportive role in numerous city
events.

We organize several major events each year, including our popular
quarterly Bingo nights, the annual Denim and Diamonds fundraiser, and
four free community events: the Spring City-Wide Yard Sale, the 4th of July
Parade and Freedom Festival, the Trick-or-Treat Treasure Hunt, and the
Fall City-Wide Yard Sale. These events are designed to promote local
businesses and enhance community interaction through increased foot
traffic, personal engagement, and valuable sponsorship and advertising
opportunities.

Our Halloween event is a particular highlight, where families from across
the region come to trick-or-treat at local businesses. Those located
outside the downtown area can set up booths, and we encourage all
participants to embrace the festive spirit with creative decor. We
transform the Pine Street Mercantile parking lot into a spooky celebration,
complete with elaborate decorations, fog machines, and holiday music to
create a truly memorable experience.

The 4th of July celebration brings the community together with a vibrant
parade featuring local businesses and organizations, sponsorship
opportunities, and festival booths. Attendees also enjoy nostalgic carnival
games, pie-eating contests, and live entertainment ranging from bands to
balloon artists, face painters, magicians, and even Disney Princesses.
Our quarterly Bingo nights are not only a fun community event but also an
opportunity to give back. With a small cover charge that includes
refreshments and a bingo card, proceeds are split between donations to
local causes, such as the Grange Hall renovation, and funding for our free
events. Local businesses support the event by sponsoring Bingo or
donating prizes and refreshments.

Our largest fundraiser, Denim and Diamonds, is a cornerstone of our
annual budget and helps us continue to serve the community. Open to the
public, this event attracts a diverse crowd of business leaders, honored
guests, and local school and government officials. Attendees are treated
to a live band, a gourmet steak dinner, and a delectable dessert while
participating in silent and live auctions and an awards ceremony.
We are deeply committed to our role within the community and take great
pride in the work we do. To ensure we continue to provide the best
possible service, we actively expand our knowledge of local resources,
organizations, and businesses. Our Director, Steph Hendrickson, regularly
attends regional tourism conferences and serves on multiple non-profit
boards throughout the area. We also participate in volunteer
opportunities whenever possible.
