Instructor Bio: Chelsea Rose is a historical archaeologist who focuses on the settlement and
\ndevelopment of the American West. She is director of the Southern Oregon
\nUniversity Laboratory of Anthropology (SOULA) and is a principal investigator in
\nthe award-winning Oregon Chinese Diaspora Project. Rose is host
\nof JPR’s Underground History podcast and regularly works with the media,
\nstudents, and community volunteers in an effort to promote archaeological
\nawareness and encourage historical stewardship. Rose is on the editorial board of
\nthe Oregon Historical Quarterly and is on the board of the Southern Oregon
