Explore pantomime\, singing confidentiality in tune\, and learning basic musical theater dance styles. \nInstructor Bio: Laurie Finear has loved and been involved in performing arts since childhood. She has many years of experience teaching children in various settings as an outdoor educator\, gymnastics coach\, and music instructor. DESCRIPTION:Larry will share his introductory program where he answers the conundrum: Why in the world would anybody want to build a town out here of all places\, and what did it take to keep the town from becoming a ghost town after the gold ran out? For the past 50 years Larry Smith has been leading field trips for students and adults out to Jacksonville’s historic goldmines.\nPresenter Bio: Larry Smith taught 5th grade at the Jacksonville Elementary School for 35 years. Although he is purportedly semi-retired\, he continues to tour countless excursions of school kids on our network of trails. He was also a National Park Ranger at Crater Lake for 23 summers. Larry is a founding member of the Jacksonville Woodlands Association and has served in many roles in that organization\, currently as Executive Director. He has written a history that details the amazing development of the Jacksonville Woodlands.

DESCRIPTION:Join JCC’s FREE house concert and hear the sounds of heartfelt southern soul pour forth from Adam Gabriel’s acoustic guitar original songs and covers of favorites of the last four decades. \nGeorgia born\, West Coast seasoned\, Adam Gabriel is a profoundly gifted singer-songwriter and performer who wields a masterful blend of Folk-Rock\, Southern Blues and rich\, Soulful vocals. His lyrics are honest and raw\, cutting and comforting at the same time and his live performances are always exquisite. \nPresented through a grant of the Jackson County Cultural Coalition. \nThis is an alcohol-free event and well-behaved youth may attend. Be advised that some lyrics may be more appropriate for 12 and above.
