DESCRIPTION:This chair-based yoga class incorporates movement\, poses\, breath\, and guided relaxation in both seated and (optional) standing sequences. We move slowly and mindfully\, with plenty of opportunity to pause and notice. The classes are designed using the principles of yoga for healthy aging to support brain and body wellness. \nGO TO: https://www.consideryoga.com/chair-yoga.html to register and pay. \nInstructor Bio: Lori Sours\, PhD\, has been teaching yoga since 2014 and is a Registered Yoga Teacher at the 500-hour level with Yoga Alliance. Beyond Lori’s certification work\, her specialized training includes teaching yoga for healthy aging and chair yoga for brain and body health. She is passionate about introducing the benefits of slow\, mindful yoga\, including chair yoga\, to people who want to feel their best every day and age wisely.

This program highlights lifecycles\, importance in the environment as well as examples of some very rare butterflies and moths from all over the world. Visitors receive handouts detailing differences between butterflies and moths\, and butterfly stickers.\nFor ages 3 and up with an adult. \n$5- Children ages 3+ to adults\nFree- Children under 3\nFree- Adults accompanying youth \nAbout the Instructor:\nLife-ling entomologist and naturalist\, John Jackson is the creator Bugs-R-Us Educational Services. He provides science-based\, educational\, portable presentations on a wide variety of natural subjects. All programs are aligned with Oregon State Educational Standards\, Next Generation Science Standards\, mapped for STEM and STEAM applications as well as National Science Education Standards.
