If you like listening to something to engage your mind while you are occupied with yard work, driving, walking or exercising, join this session to explore the many podcasts that are available on every topic under the sun. The session will cover the benefits of podcasts, how to access them on your computer or mobile device, and an introduction to some good ones. Participants should have a basic knowledge of how to use the Internet. They should have experience using their mobile device and be familiar with the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store to download apps.

About the Presenter: Maureen Wilson-Jarrard

Maureen Wilson-Jarrard’s professional career ranged from Elementary School educator to Education Technology Specialist. She taught children how to use Mac computers and professors how to use online learning platforms. Her work at Peace Corps Headquarters in Washington DC included developing an online curriculum based on water in Africa. Primarily self-taught and fascinated with learning technology, she refers to her own learning experience during instruction. She previously taught a session at the JCC on using technology to enhance the safety and livability of one’s home.
