This September JCC is sponsoring a four-session class where kids aged 7-11 will explore Sasquatch legends while learning about identification of Pacific Northwest bugs, snakes and plants. Three one-hour classes with videos, pictures and discussion will meet at the Jacksonville Community Center on Wednesdays from 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Dates: September 11, 18 and 25.
The final session will be a half-day hike on Saturday, September 28 starting at JCC at 9:00 a.m., on the Collings Mountain Trail just west of Applegate lake, where we will explore the first and maybe only Sasquatch Trap in America. We will also identify and discover other animals and plants that students learned about during their classes. Bring your imagination, an open mind and a good pair of hiking shows. Students will meet at JCC at 9:00 a.m. Lunch will be served. Parents are also invited to hike.
Pre-registration is required. The cost for all four sessions is $60.00. Financial assistance is available to those for whom the fee would be a hardship.
